Do I need to pay to use LinkedIn?
No. A free LinkedIn account lets you build a profile, connect with people, and apply for jobs. The paid plans mainly help if you want to message strangers or are job hunting seriously.
What is an InMail?
It is a message to someone you are not connected to – a hiring manager, for example. The free account cannot send them. Premium Career gives you 5 a month and Premium Business 15 a month.
Is paying yearly worth it?
It is much cheaper per month – Career drops from about $40 to about $20 a month – but you pay the whole year up front. If you are subscribing just for a job search that may only last a few months, paying monthly and canceling can work out cheaper overall.
How do I stop being charged?
Sign in on a computer, click your photo, then Settings & Privacy, then Subscriptions & payments, and cancel there. If you first signed up inside the LinkedIn app on an iPhone or iPad, you must cancel in the iPhone Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions.
