Common questions about Canva plans
Is Canva really free?
Yes, the free plan has no time limit and no credit card is needed. You can make cards, posters and posts with it. The paid plan mainly adds the fancier templates and photos, which have a small crown symbol on the free plan.
How do I know if I need Canva Pro?
If you keep finding that the design you like has a crown on it, or you want to remove the background from photos often, Pro is worth it. If you make something only a few times a year, the free plan is usually enough.
Can my family share one Canva Pro account?
Canva Pro is sold as an individual plan for one person. For several people working together Canva sells the Business plan, which is charged for every person added.
What happens to my designs if I stop paying for Pro?
Your designs stay in your account and you can still open them, but anything that used a paid picture or template will show a watermark until you either buy that item or pay for Pro again.

Canva's pricing page shows a Monthly / Yearly switch but only the yearly prices appear in the page content that could be read, so monthly prices for Pro and Business are not recorded and both plans are marked uncertain for that reason. Canva also sells an Enterprise plan at custom pricing (not a consumer product) and offers free Pro accounts to eligible non-profits and to teachers and students through Canva for Education; those programs were not verified during this check.
