Common questions about Spotify plans
Do I have to pay to use Spotify at all?
No. Spotify Free costs nothing and needs no credit card. You will hear advertisements between songs and you cannot save music to listen without internet.
Is the Family plan cheaper than everyone paying on their own?
Yes, if three or more people use it. Family costs $21.99 a month for up to 6 accounts, while three separate Individual plans would cost about $38.97 a month. Everyone must live at the same address.
Can I cancel or change my plan whenever I want?
Yes. Sign in at spotify.com, go to Account, and choose 'Change plan' or 'Cancel Premium'. You keep Premium until the end of the month you already paid for, then the account becomes a free account.
Do I need special headphones to notice the better sound?
Usually yes. The top sound quality (lossless) mainly makes a difference with good wired headphones or a stereo system. On ordinary earbuds or a phone speaker most people cannot hear the difference.
