What is the difference between Standard and Premium?
Premium lets four people watch at once instead of two, offers 4K picture on a 4K television, better sound, and lets you save 100 shows for offline viewing instead of 30.
Can I save shows for a journey on the cheapest plan?
No. Saving shows to watch without internet is only on the Standard and Premium plans.
Is paying for a whole year cheaper?
Yes. Every plan has a yearly price that works out about 16 percent cheaper than paying each month.
Can I share my account with someone in another house?
HBO Max offers an Extra Member add-on for people billed directly by HBO Max, which lets you add someone who lives outside your home for an extra monthly fee. The exact fee is not published on the plans page.

The service is called HBO Max again (it was briefly named Max). Prices above are the standard prices that took effect for new subscribers on 21 October 2025 and for existing subscribers from 20 November 2025, and they exclude tax. An Extra Member add-on exists for subscribers billed directly by HBO Max, but its price is not stated on the plans page, so no figure is recorded. HBO Max is also sold inside a Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max bundle at 19.99 per month with advertisements or 32.99 per month without.
