Common questions about Peloton plans

Do I need to buy a Peloton bike?

No. The App memberships work on a phone, tablet, computer or smart TV with no Peloton equipment at all. Only the most expensive membership, All-Access, requires you to own a Peloton machine.

What is the difference between App One and App+?

App One gives you everything except unlimited cycling, running and rowing classes – you get three of those a month. App+ makes those unlimited too. If you have no exercise machine at home, App One is usually plenty.

Will it work with my own exercise bike?

Often, yes. The App memberships can pick up readings from many other brands of bike, treadmill and rower, and from a heart-rate strap, so you see your effort on screen during the class.

Does one membership cover my spouse?

With the All-Access membership that comes with a Peloton machine, everyone in the household is covered by the single payment and each person gets their own profile. The App memberships are for one person each.

Where this information comes from

Plan names verified as current: Peloton App Free, Peloton App One, Peloton App+, Peloton All-Access Membership, plus a newer strength-only app called Peloton Strength+. Peloton's own pricing pages (onepeloton.com/membership, /app-membership, /app) load their prices with JavaScript and display '$0/mo' placeholders to any automated reader, and Peloton's support articles return a loading screen, so the monthly prices here come from Peloton Interactive's official investor press release announcing the October 2025 increase (All-Access $44 to $49.99, App+ $24 to $28.99, App One $12.99 to $15.99). No later price change was found. Annual prices are therefore not recorded for any plan - at the previous rates App One was $129/year and App+ $240/year, so annual options do exist and should be re-checked on screen at sign-up. Peloton commonly advertises a 30-day free trial on the App memberships.
